Safe, economic and aesthetic lighting armatures with low energy consumption and energy-efficient appliances have been adopted in indoor and outdoor areas. All washing machines, refrigerators and other electronic devices in campus dormitories have been replaced by Class A energy-efficient appliances. The majority of electronic devices used in the tea rooms on campus are also energy-efficient devices. The whole rehabilitation works regarding reducing the energy footprint of the existing buildings are conducted according to the ITU Strategic Plan covering the period of 2017-2021.

ITU follows energy usages of each units and buildings not only in the main campus (Ayazaga Campus) but also in city campus. In this way, the highest energy consuming units can be determined and measures can be taken to reduce the necessary energy consumption.
